Casa MB is a gallery, though not in the usual sense.

Inspired by the elegance of Milanese apartments, we imagined a space where art could be encountered more naturally — somewhere lived in, welcoming, and intimate. A place where artworks and people come together without the formality that often surrounds them.

In Milan, a city of fashion, publishing, art, and finance, Casa MB is conceived as a kind of perpetual open house. There will be exhibitions, certainly, and works to see and perhaps to take home. But the spirit of the space is closer to that of a salon: a place for conversation, for meals, for a drink or two, and most essentially, for art.

There is a long tradition of artists and curators opening their homes to art. From Marcel Broodthaers’ Musée d’Art Moderne, Département des Aigles, begun in his Brussels apartment in 1968, to the many informal exhibitions staged in living rooms and studios today, these spaces remind us that art does not need distance to be meaningful. Often, it benefits from proximity.

In a small way, we hope to invite you into our home.

Welcome to Casa.
